Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon of choice
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or to taste
- pinch of ground cinnamon or nutmeg
- ice
- dried lemon slice or cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker about two thirds full with ice. Add bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain the cold bourbon into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Lightly sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Garnish with a dried lemon slice or a cinnamon stick.
