About Me

PamPamela Florence, the creative force behind Zest For Cooking is a culinary enthusiast with a deep affection for foods that are flavorful, interesting and beautiful in presentation but also promise healthy benefits and good nutrition in every recipe. Her transformative journey from a seasoned executive and clinical trials manager to culinary enthusiast began with a diagnosis of Graves’ Disease brought on as a consequence of neglecting her health amidst a demanding work life.

Prompted to reevaluate her lifestyle and frustrated by the inadequacies of conventional treatments, Pamela embarked on a path towards well-being through a profound understanding of nutrition and culinary arts. Eager to share her experiences, Pamela documented her culinary metamorphosis on the Zest For Cooking blog.

With a solid background in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, Pamela redirected her professional trajectory towards her true passion for food. Enrolling in Boston University’s Culinary School, she completed an intensive Certificate Program in Culinary Arts, immersing herself in the teachings of culinary leaders like Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Mark Bittman, and Jasper White. Post-graduation, Pamela honed her skills under chef Jody Adams at Red Clay and delved into pastry classes at Newbury College.

Currently, Pamela is deeply engaged in running her food blog, contributing to freelance recipe development and fervently promoting the importance of enjoying good food and sound nutrition while engaging in an active and fulfilling life.
