My name is Pamela Florence and Zest For Cooking is my blog. I love food and love to share my thoughts on food and cooking.
I spent 10 years in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry managing clinical trials and training clinical staff. I changed careers when my first son was born, and went to Culinary School at Boston University. I completed their Certificate Program in Culinary Arts. This is an intensive program which combines traditional techniques with hands-on instruction from a wide range of well known, accomplished chefs including Julia Child, Jacque Pepin, Todd English, Mark Bittman, Jasper White and others. After graduating, I went on to work for chef Jody Adams at her Chestnut Hill restaurant Red Clay. Following Red Clay, I took pastry classes at Newbury College. My culinary experience has also included testing recipes for a popular cookbook author. In addition, I filmed a television cooking show for the local Newton Cable Network.
My culinary experience resulted in being approached by friends to teach cooking classes. I have a small company, Zest For Cooking, that teaches small, private cooking classes.
