Pisco Sour Cocktail

As we bid farewell to another year and eagerly await the arrival of the New Year, let’s raise a toast to the moments we shared and memories we’ve created! A heartfelt thank you to our guest post writers, Audrey, Tyori, and Lucas, for this celebratory cocktail.

While our usual cocktails do not involve pisco, this Pisco Sour cocktail stands as an exception, with the elevated citrus flavor, rich depth from the egg white and aromatic complexity from the bitters. It’s a well balanced libation to sip on while recapping and rejoicing the year with friends and family. We wish you a Happy and Healthy 2024🎉

 

Pisco Sour Cocktail
Servings: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces pisco
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 (raw) egg white
  • Angostura Bitters for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the pisco, lime juice, simple syrup and egg white into a shaker and shake vigorously, without any ice. Add ice to the shaker and shake again, until well chilled.
  • Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass and if you wish, over ice cubes. Garnish with 3 to 5 drops of Angostura bitters. Using a straw or toothpick, swirl the bitters into a simple design and serve. Inspired by liquor.com.

  • This sounds fabulous. What are your thoughts about using raw whipped egg whites in a drink? Or is it better to buy the pasturized cartons at the grocery store?
    Ps: love everything about your blog.

    • Thanks for your comment! I think raw egg whites are fine, but if there is concern using pasteurized eggs is a great idea.
